Name: Soot
Age: 2 years old.
Gender: Female
_____
Mob: Loner
Rank: Subordinate _____
Dam: Destiny
Sire: Fate
Litter Number: Two.
Litter-mates: One.
Older Siblings: None.
Younger Siblings: None.
Litters Had: None. _____
Appearance: Soot is like most other female meerkats her age in terms of contour configuration. She has a lithe, sleek shape that allows her to squirm into some of the tiniest places and abysses. Most things about her in terms of length are long - especially her wiry tail. The young female is a nit picky eater, which sometimes causes her frame to thin out just a tiny bit more. Her ribs aren't articulate most of the time, and she has an all around robust figure that shows she is quite healthy and tidy in her ways. She has a seemingly fragile complexion, but also has plenty of muscles building underneath them. Long, ebony claws branch out from her tiny toes, making it eminent that she is a well-rounded burrower. Soot has long whiskers as well, and slender arms that give her a nimble velocity.
As for shades, there are many textures in her coat. The base seems to be a dust-brushed shade - pallid by means of retained sands. Tinges of gray circumvent the tips of her light brown coat of fur. That shade cascades down her whole body, though concealed at times by blends of amber, fawn, and a coyote-esque orange. Where this orange is most prominent is around her legs, arms, and tail. Dark fawn is seen in little dips across her spine - like chocolate-shaded pleats along her back. Her fore legs are dipped towards the end and the outsides by a certain deep orange; which is the same attributes for her back legs. But the most deluged in orange is the center of her tail, which stretches all the way down her flicking strand. But it stops towards the end, which is saturated in an ashen-soot shade, which makes it seem like she dipped the tip of her tail in soot, but never bothered to attempt and diminish it from her tail.
Soot also has seemingly rayless eyes - two glistening pools of pure coal embedded within her murky-rounded eyes. Her ears are rounded entirely; their insides opaque and ebony. Around the edges it is delved in that same clouded brown as the majority of her frame. A soot-shaded nose roosts at the tip of a medium-sized mouth; augmented whiskers expand like darkened branches from her seemingly black-lipped maw.
Personality: Soot is an anomaly of a meerkat if there ever was one. She's playful, with spurts of hyperactive energy that usually makes others wonder if she has a serious side to her at all. She loves to frolic with pups if she ever comes across some, making eminent a maternal, and benign side to the idiosyncrasy-drenched meerkat. But other than that, she dotes on bouncing and leaping around, always earnest to explore the outside world. Soot is out there for adventure - looking to find the best in meerkats as she romps throughout her barren desert home. Soot occasionally gets a little too jubilant, and occasionally needs a goading reminder that she has a humorless promise to fulfill as a member of the stark sands. She's out there searching for a part of her long gone.
Another bizarre habit of the female is that instead of sniffing most things like others tend to do - she often licks them instead. Beyond grooming, she also licks other meerkats as well. Though most are a little perplexed by her actions, it's her subtle way of embracing her fellow species. Soot licks all things - inanimate and animate - just to taste the world in a brand new way if possible. Though at times this is another thing that seems to get her in the midst of some chaos. There aren't many days when she isn't constantly moving.
Soot is clumsy as well. A complete klutz that seems to thrive on tripping and falling into the sand. She often finds herself tripping on transparent objects seemingly interred in the sand below her quivering paws. From rocks to simple brush - she always finds a way to get them to become an obstacle of obstruction to her constant tussle with gravity. Even though she is an extrovert, and very vigilant, she often stumbles over other meerkats during play. Anything can set her paws off, sending her face first into the dirt.
Fate with the world around her always seems to be her greatest friend.
History: When Soot was first born, everything appeared to be a normal meerkat life. Her parents' litter was minuscule, and only consisted of two pups - her brother and herself. Life was rough for the tiny Mob. The formation was a simple incident - a male rogue breeding with a female who had once been a part of a greater mob. A mob with more destiny than fate. And her mother still longed to be one with it, so she was forced to abandon her pups and leave them in the desolation of the vehement desert. The desert was warm and welcoming, but not for two newborn pups who needed a mother in order to survive in a place like this.
But the two were left alone - sequestered and meant to rot like wilted flowers in the sandy place of betrayal. The two huddled close to each other now, comforted by the proximity of the siblings. If they died that day, at least then they wouldn't die alone. They would have each other until their last breaths seeped from the tiny pups. But in the midst of the burrow their tiny whimpers were heard. Now frightened by adults it seemed, Soot shifted to the back of the burrow, while her curious brother established bravado and went to explore. A long silence filled the depths of the minuscule abyss, and only the sound of shifting dust could be heard. Soot flicked her tiny ears, intonations of all sorts touching them. Then nothing. And as she quivered and moved forward, her brother was gone. A chill gave her spine a tremor. The earth seemed to be spinning, as she became locked in a torrent of complete desolation.
But soon a female from another mob came and took her in. Even a colossal throng she still felt a cold wind aside her fragile frame. Nothing would ever be the same. She felt like a part of her was now torn away from her side. The two litter-mates had always been eminent to each other, and now it felt like they were separated by thousands of miles. But Soot constantly seeks him out, no matter how far he could have gone. She plans to discover him. This desert sure is big enough for the both of them, but she wants to fill in that rift. And to fill in that part of her long missing from her heart.
Extra: First meerkat bio ever. Probably not that good. But I tried my best. xDD
